Several of us tried it, in the one and only phone booth in our little old home town. We managed to pile 6 or 8 of us into the booth, close the door - then braaaaap, one of the guys inside farted. The door flew open in a quick hurry, and we all flew out of that booth in half a second with shouts of, "a jeez, man, stink, let me outta here, aaaagh I'm gonna die." The old timers across the street got a good laugh out of it.

How funny. We didn't have a phone booth. But, piled a bunch of kids in the back of a pick-up turned the corner and it tipped. Thank god it was a 1950 Chevy and heavy as a tank and didn't go on over. You shoulda heard the screaming going on. It was dangerous but did we ever laugh!!!

No, we never did that, come to think of it, there weren't any phone booths in the small town I grew up in. lol

I do remember once a friend of mine had an MG midget, 2 seater car and we had 5 of us squashed into it. We rode all over town like that, but we had to leave the top down to fit. lol

Just as a matter of interest, the unofficial record for people in a UK phone box is 14, achieved in Attenborough. Guinness were not there to witness it, so it's not official.
