I watch the news on the Spanish channel. I don't understand a word of Spanish and never get upset over the news. Unlike you I don't care. The only news that should get you upset is a plane hitting your house.

The news like that because the news media try to get you addicted to adrenaline; they give you an exciting story, and you want more exciting and more scary stories to get the same high. Obviously you don't have the personality to get addicted to adrenaline.

it is called marketing the news and it works. most of the time. so..do your own anti-marketing, re-wind your own programming on what you want to see, hear, know etc. and you will be ok. good luck.
