Coming from tornado alley I have seen many twisters over the years. In fact when I was younger I used to drive squall lines looking for them, you used to be able to sell video to the news organizations.

As far as floods, I helped fill sand bags in 1993 when the midwest flooded. Luckily it didn't flood where my house is.

Earthquakes, I live in Missouri, we only have those about every 200 years or so. And since the last one was in 1812 still have a few years to go hopefully.

I've been through three typhoons, those are real treats to experience.

The wind was so strong, the guy wires on the mast were whistling a high pitched sound, like ghosts on crack. The ship pitches and yaws like a bucking bronco. You can feel the ships steel straining, like a series of sick vibrations in the bulkheads.

Very scary stuff.

The Great Flood of '93 swept right through my neighborhood. Kinda weird to see everything you hold dear underwater... and watch houses float past you, completely uprooted from their foundation..
