If the first date is the last date, then No. ,BUT who is to say that two people can’t ? After 5 minutes on a date you usually know if a second one is in line or not. I’d say, give it a shot, take a chance, and don’t let your peers influence your decision. Take charge and tell them you’re the boss of your destiny and not them.

i dont think people can truly fall in love in one date. it can be a strong form of lust but not love. Your case is different though. When you have known someone for 3 years you already know how you feel about the person. Now you are just trying out if the two of you are compatible in a relationship. i bet you both feel the same. No. There may be lust or mutual admiration - but love is rooted in trust - which cannot honestly be earned in a single day. People that believe it can are probably misleading themselves as to the nature of love.

i met my now fiance, went out that evening, and the next day, we knew we never wanted to be apart..save the two weeks it took me to get ready to move to ny

Yes, I did...took me a few weeks to admit it to myself, but yes, if you are both mature about everything and arent in a rush really, I do believe its possible.
