think about the woman they left behind in a relationship that never really got off the ground, because of other commitments? Or do they just move on with no thought of the past. Especially when there was no final "goodbye", just "we'll talk again soon".

Hey Chas, I was involved with someone when I met him - he wasn't. I felt I should try to stick with what I had at the time. It's not good to break up with someone on the spur of the moment without knowing if its a fling or not. Now, Im not, he is!!

Everyone is different. Men are not cold and heartless as we pretend to be.
Some woman break up and never look back, guys do it too.
If you are hurting, chances are he's hurting too. Time heals all wounds. Stick it out and you'll be fine. I find that for every 1 year in a relationship it takes about 2 months to get over it.
