counting sheep didnt help...i counted to like a zillion lool...who came up with that trick anyway? lol anyways, any other tips?

i know! i tried counting sheep so many times. never works...you know what i do now? it might sound crazy but whatever ;) i talk to myself..yeah, but try it. Just start talking to yourself about anything thats on your mind like you are your own therapist..and ask yourself weird questions like "if i were a fly on the wall, what would i do? or something like that. It makes me sleepy after a while. Not that i bore myself out! lol but your thinking too much without knowing it, so your mind slows down by itself. hahaha okay hope i helped somehow. i think i'll go try my own advice now...

I wouldn't recommend the six pack of beer, while you might pass out, you won't get a good nights sleep. If it is just a temporary thing, you could try a warm bath, tea, Unisom, exercising during the day makes you more tired at night too.

Or if it is an ongoing thing you might want to see your Dr.

our baby has the same problem. She is a sleep fighter. Although a warm bottle of formula, bath and a baby massage helped her tonight.
You might want to try something similar. Warm bath, soak for awhile, maybe a warm glass of milk relaxing music, aromatherapy (lavender oil) linen spray on your sheets and pillow.

I heard this on John Tesh's radio show and it DOES work. Say the alphabet backwards. Or else masturbate (that puts you at ease in a relaxed, tired/sleepy mood. Hope this helps.

Can you come work for me then? I don't get off until 7 a.m., and I am really sleepy! I would have no problem watching the back of my eye lids for a few hours!
