Can you actually stop loving someone or do you just ignore the feelings you have, put the past behind you and move on with your life?

There was no abuse, no cheating, no fighting...things just didn't work out due to circumstances beyond your control.

If you can move on in your life by putting the past behind you, it'd be extremely good. But you need to question yourself on whether you can ignore your feelings for the other party. If I were you, I'd fix the problems and I won't walk out on someone I truly love.

The man who was my soul mate and the love of my life died 5 years ago. I am still not over my love for him, and I probably never get over that love. I still cry and mourn for him but each day it does get better. I think you try to put the feelings behind you just to survive the days. I do know one thing that it will take someone super special to help me move on. They will have some awful big shoes to fit.

You have to use your head instead of your heart. Just because we love someone, doesn't mean we're meant to be together. I think some people are meant to only be in our lives a short time. No matter how close we feel towards them.

You get over it, but you never forget. Same thing happened to me not too long ago and I'm still in love with that person. It just takes time.
