Well, if you rev while you are stopped and throw it from neutral into drive your car will try to go to whatever you are rev'd to, which means you will be in for a jolt of a ride, if its over 2 or 3 RPM. If you are already in motion and throw it into neutral and then into drive while rev'n you will simply once again match whatever you are rev'd at in whatever gear you are in. I wouldn't suggest playing with it, but it wont hurt the car. High rev reverse to drive motions however will.

If you are lucky, you will spin your tires and drive away. If you are unlucky, you will break your transmission and driveshaft and look like a complete idiot. Maybe you want to try it just a couple hundred rpm's above idle just to feel the jerk

transmissions have built in protection to stop that from damaging a car and i hope you weren't seriously thinking about doing that. event though it shouldn't hurt the car why would you want to risk it

Put it to the floor and try it, let me know what happens. You'll break the tranny, drive shaft, or just the rear end.
