2003 Ford Escape is rated at 23-28 mpg (highway). If you take an average and drive sensibly (65-70 mph) you should need about 30 gallons of fuel. Course you have to take into account, hills, wind, etc, so you may end up using more than 30 gallons.

There are a few factors to consider about your question. First you are going to need to know how many miles per gallon you escape gets, somewhere around 19 city and 23 interstate, I think. Then factor in how many miles of each you will be traveling then its just simple division or miles divided by miles per gallon. Next there a few things you can do to save some cash in gas on a trip that long. Make sure your tires are inflated to the proper pressure, users manual or imprinted on the side of the tire, make sure your air filter is clean - if not replace it, and watch your speed - for every five miles an hour over 65 you burn about 8% more gas, and conserver about 15% by driving at 55. Finialy make sure all your fluids are toped off and at the correct level, it may not effect fule milage a lot but the lyou don't want your engine overheating from low coolent leves and added strain due to an improper oil level, same with the transmision fluid. Good luck out there.

Your question is a bit off, but I think I get what you're trying to ask. Find out how many gallons of gas does it take to fill your car. Then how many miles u get per gallon (average out freeway - city miles u get per gallon) . Multiply how much your car takes X MPG. Then subtract that number from 750.
(example)
18 gallons to fully fill tank
20 miles per gallon
18X20 = 360 miles for one full tank - 750 miles = 390. So you'll be needing about 2 1/2 - 3 full refills before destination is reached.
simple?

First, you need to know what your milage is. Fill up the tank and set the odometer to zero. Drive it till it's time for a refill, then note how many gallons it takes. Then it's a simple mattter of dividing the miles driven by the gallons used. Once you have that, you can just divide to find how many gallons it'll take to go the 750 miles.

well i would say with that car you will probably be getting about 26 mpg so if you car going on a trip for 750 miles you will probably need about 30 to 33 gallons of gas depending on city or highway less on the highway about 30 should be more than enough for all highway driving. hope this helps

If you really don't know your own car's gas mileage, pick a number... go low... let's say 22 mpg. 750 divided by 22 gives the number of gallons you'll need... 34 and a fraction, figure 35 to be safe.
Is it odd that someone who can navigate a computer can't figure this out?

The question should not be so much about the Escape as about your driving. You could use anywhere from maybe 30 gallons to 75 gallons. It mostly depends how you drive.
