I've never tried breeding them, but from what I've read, you want a separate tank, at least 10 gallons. Fill the bottom with marbles, danios are egg scatterers, and they'll also eat the eggs after laying them. With the marbles, the eggs will fall in between the marbles and they can't eat them. Put the male and female in there, and when they're done doing their thing, remove the parents and just watch for the fry. You should have a heater on the tank, and also a filter. Use some filter media from your established tank so the tank won't go through a cycle and kill off the fry when the ammonia levels rise. I'd leave them in the 10 gallon tank, not a breeder's net. Not sure if one breed is better then any other. Try doing a search, just type in breeding danios, lots of articles on that topic.
