I need a break from paper work for a day or so, but not a "vacation" in the true sense of the word.

Hecks yes! I haven't had a vacation in the entire 3 years my husband and I have been in college. We leave for Thanksgiving and Christmas, of course, but we just go back to his parents house and laze around. During the summers we both work as much as we can so we won't have to during school. I would love to take a couple weeks and get out of the country! Somewhere exotic, sunny, new, unusual. Try new foods, spend a couple weeks in a hotel with just me and my husband, no siblings or parents or schoolmates coming around. A cruise would be fabulous!

I'll need a vacation once I have the boat, jet ski, dirt bike, quad runner and big trailer..oh yea..and the huge truck to haul all this wonderful stuff to the lake/resort.. Wanna go...Its gonna be a while before all this, but it will be hella fun....... :) I don't need a vacation now but by then I'll definitely want & need one or two a year...

well if by "vacation" you mean a trip to another state/country then yes i think we all do. American life is'nt really life.
but if you mean that people need time off of work, then i HAVE to say that its a useless waste of time. i'm on vacation right now and i've done nothing besides play computer games and drink.

I took last week off but I could always use more vacation. I could get used to being off.

Not really coz ive had a number this year...but anor one wont hurt...who doesnt like dumping the work & jumping around having fun...
In fact Ive been 'slapped' with a compulsory leave notice for a week this morning.. (for the festive days the coming week)
& Im cracking my head on where to head too!!
I know many would love to take that one week frm me...
Im not complaining..its just sudden & I hate it when Im forced to do something unplanned!!
