why do u think that gender as a category of analysis and as an identity is all about power?

Since recorded history, women pretty much bewoed their place as second in society. However, even back then--women HAD "the power" in ways even they didn't see or realize. The Surrogate movement shed light on this fact---which exploded loudly in the late 60s and early 70s.

And with women today holding politically empowered offices and influencing laws to benefit females, women HAVE the power. And given that and other media influences (Oprah, "Roseanne".....etc, etc), isn't time we pose the question: "Are women's power in society being set up for implosion?"
