I love my in-laws. I'm actually closer to my mother in law then to my real mom. They treat me just like a daughter and they've opened their arms and house to me when they first met me. I truly love and respect them

Well, not being married myself, my only in-laws are my 4 sisters-in-law, the four women married to my four brothers!
Here is how I rate them:
#1 Mary Beth--She's okay, but it is really hard to strike up a conversation with her; she gives only 2-word answers. My passive-aggressive way of dealing with her: I buy her three kids NOISY toys!
#2 Martha--LOVES my brother to pieces, but yells at her two sons too much! My passive aggressive way of dealing with her: I buy her kids toys with LOTS of pieces!
#3 Renee--Her lack of tact and education does not stop her from having an opinion about EVERYTHING! Her mother was the same way. I'm cutting Renee some slack since she just had a baby, which was a month early.
#4 Darcy-- She is the youngest, and I hold NOTHING against her! She is a good wife, great mom, and great in her career! A true DARLING!!

I lived in a joint family for 7 years. I didn't get along with them so well then. Now I'm on my own and their my best friends. Privacy is definitly a blessing.

No, they're morons. they don't like coming here anyway. She's on a power trip in any household she goes to and hates it when I speak my mind to her.
