I was just wondering you know where in books and that its says the R.M.S Titanic what does it stand for.

Many people think it stands for Royal Mail Ship, but it actually stands for Royal Mail Steamer. I am a Titanic Historian for a Titanic museum in Orlando. And the reason Titanic received that title is because not only was Titanic a luxary liner, she was also to act as a major trans-atlantic postal service.
