When you are dividing two numbers, it is like saying that the dividend and divisor pertains to numerator and denominator of a fraction. So you'll just have to reduce that fraction in lowest terms.

750/175 = 30/7

The fraction you are looking is 30/7 (ans.).

To change those two numbers into a fraction, forget the decimal and do this:

1)Take the dividend (the number that's being divided by something) and write it down. In this case it's 750.

2)Draw the division bar under that number.

3)Take the divisor (the number dividing the dividend) and write it under the divisor bar. In this case it's 175. You're technically done.

4)If you need it to be a mixed number (a whole number and a fraction), then divide 750 by 175, but don't go any further after 4. The problem should look like this: 750/175=4R50 (4 remainder 50). Since 50 is left, write that as a fraction out of 175. The answer is now 750/175=4 50/175 or 4 2/7.

Just keep in mind that in a fraction, the divisor bar (that's the line that separates the two numbers) is said as "divided by." 750/175= "750 divided by 175." I hope this helps.
