i know every song has a meaning but does anyone know a story that specifically tells a story? recent songs

I don't know about too many recent songs but here are some great examples of what you are looking for.... The Night the Lights went out in Georgia by Vicki Lawrence, Half Breed by Cher, Gypsies Tramps and Thieves by Cher, Uncle Tom's Cabin by Warrant. A story song is a mini movie in a 3-4 minute song.

The Boxer by Simon and Garfunkel (about an emigrant having to fight for survival)

Lord of the Dance (obviously about Jesus)

Irish Soldier Laddie (it's obvious, isn't it... about a man who walks through Ireland meets a soldier and decides to join to fight the English)
