The best way is to get four video outputs from your computer.

So, four single head cards - a problem if you have limited slots, also 4x single head cards is probably more expensive than:

Two dual head cards. Probably the cheapest option. Again you need two slots, so AGP + PCI, or PCI-e + PCI or if you have a nice motherboard PCI-e + PCI-e. If you end up with two divverent types of card then try to get the same video chipset family on each so that the drivers play together nicely.

If you only have a single slot for your video card, then a single quad head card. This is the most expensive, but only takes up one slot and you are guaranteed that the video divers will not conflict.

You can either get three more single-monitor video cards (plus the one already in your computer to make four), or get two cards that do two monitors each, and take out the one already in your computer. Before you can even buy a card, you need to see what kind of slots you have in your computer (PCI-express or AGP) so you know what kind of card to buy. (Work with every precaution in handling the electronics, they can be damaged if handled incorrectly.)

Windows is pretty good at doing it without much trouble. I think the windows help describes how to enable them once everything is connected.
