if you define the damage Republicans ALLEDGEDLY caused, and then list what the Liberal Democrats did to damage the country, I am sure you and the Clintonistas will find the second list is MUCH longer.

It will only take a short time if we elect a conservative as president. The Republicans did not cause this damage, but the Neo-Cons (a.k.a. Liberal Democrats pretending to be Republicans) did a lot of damage. George W. and his ilk need to rejoin the Democrat party, so real conservatives can once again lead the GOP.

Ron Paul could fix things in less than his first term. If the Democrats gain the white house after being in control for the twenty years (George H.W. Bush, Clinton and George W. Bush were all really liberal Democrats) things will just continue to get worse and worse.

Don't you mean the democrats. They're the ones that got us into the FIAT MONEY system we are enslaved to since 1913. That and do we have to mention the fact that perpetual warring can be laid upon them as well? I do believe it was H.S. Truman that helped kick off the disturbances in the Middle East via the newly formed CIA. I can recall only two presidents that warned us of the military industrial complex, one being Eisenhower and the other of course being Reagan. but in all fairness we can't rule out Kennedy. Then there is of course, WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, The Cold War, etc. FIAT MONEY = WAR and vice versa. Do we truly have to kill one another to advance in technology and in humanity under false pretenses? The answer is no. However you must look past all the lies and bullshit so you can see it. The division in this country can be laid squarely upon the democrats feet. Again they will play the part of "hero" of the people(through deception as usual of course) and promise to make things all better. the fact of the matter is, they have only made things a hell of alot worse. Time for change, ...... real change. So when a dem is screaming about stopping the war, do they honestly realize it goes against everything that democrats really stand for? Who are the real "fools"?

Bush is not a conservative is absolutely correct(in more ways than one.)

As is a Human Bean.

Ron Paul 2008.

I'm not sure it can be fixed... my guess would be at least 100 years, or 10 decades, if it is possible at all. The reason so long is because it takes about 100 years for ppl to forget the past... when there are no ppl still alive from a historical moment.

See, it's not just that Bush alienated the USA from the rest of the world. It's also that he managed to divide this country as much as it was just prior to the Civil War. Prior to the Civil War, Congressional members were literally fighting on the Senate floor, abolitionists were being murdered and ppl like James Brown, were murdering settlers in a 'we aren't going to take it anymore' effort.

Animosities amongst everyday citizens is on the brink of violence... just listen to some of the things ppl say here.

probably as long as it takes for people to realize that some of the mess is their own fault for allowing the government too much control in their personal life. The more power the government takes from the average person, and the more hand outs they expect, the less a person is willing to do for themselves. Just remember a lot of the "damage" is done at state and local levels. BTW the Republicans are not the only ones in charge.

A decade in poltics is about five minutes. The reality is that it will be 4-8 years. Assuming nothing happens to reverse things in the next twelve months, the next President will be a Democrat. If that person does good in office, it will be 8 years. If that person does poorly in office, it will be 4 years. It is highly unlikely that anyone will be voting in 2012 based on George Bush, they will be voting on how the incumbent has done (whomever that may be). By 2016, the second Bush disaster will be forgotten, the same way that the first Bush disaster was forgotten by 2000.

As soon as we get finished repairing Clinton's damage, which includes 9/11, we'll work on creating our on. Oops! By the time we get around to creating our own damage, we'll have to fix more Democrat damage, I hope from not another Clinton!

I guess that depends on what damage there is.

None... well then i dont think it will take long to repair nothing. Meanwhile we are still cleaning up Jimmy carter's messes.
