Do states have the right to discriminate against citizens of other states? I don't think they do, but is there a right that says other wise in the US?

It's pretty common for states to charge higher fees for tuition at state universities, and for hunting and fishing licenses, to non-residents. They also charge different income taxes to non-residents.

The 14th amendment doesn't prohibit that. The right to subsidized hunting, fishing, and education aren't "the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States".

Sure they do. I don't know the authority on which they do this, but I do know it's done. For example....fishing licenses. Non-residents of all states pay more than residents for catching the same fish. You can't work in another state without a drivers license from that state. I need a license to do plumbing and electrical work in another state although I have them from my state. Wyoming State Parks charge a higher entrance fees to non residents. Alaska does not give Permanant Fund Dividends to non-residents. To be a police officer in Arizona you must live in Arizona and not across the border in Utah. There are lots of examples of discrimination between the states.

Generally no. 14th Amendment for a starter (Equal Protection clause).

You don't discuss who is discriminating (government or private citizen) so the answer will vary.

And it is assuming you are using discrimination in the sense of race/gender, etc. States can discriminate on other legitimate grounds.

this depends on what you mean by DISCRIMINATE---there are no rules or identification needed to cross state lines, or live in one state and work in another. Driver's licenses issued by any state are honored by all others. How do states "discriminate" ?

What united statesa. can do is get out all those regulation breaking politicians and put in people who won't bypass breaking the regulation or quickly people will initiate fleeing removed from united statesa. in basic terms like people did hundreds of years in the past from Europe because of the fact of religion. united statesa. is created from a great form of diverse people and a great form of diverse religions. Its the clarification united statesa. grew to become into based. yet individuals looked as though it would have forgotten that. Marriage is the only component that all of us yet homosexuals can par take in, and why because of the fact of religion. the only component it fairly is think to be cut loose government. i presumed that each and every person people grew to become into think to have the comparable rights as all of us, not in basic terms some people.

States, cities, businesses and individuals have the right to deal with whom they wish.

You've seen the sign: We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone."

That's their right.

You have NO RIGHT to force someone to deal with you.

Everything that happens to you is NOT discrimination.

Get over yourself and join society.
