I'm thinking 10/10/07
I'm sure Teemu is done. Scott..who knows? At this point it's ticking me off.

I know Erica I always do the reverse jinx and say the Ducks won't do squat..lol
The lucky socks are reserved for playoffs only though.

I used to have a lot of respect for him but he should step up to the plate and be a real man and make a decision. It would be best for all concerned. I can't help but feel that there is something more than mere indecision going on here.

Not playing? Or not giving his decision already?
There's definitely a noticeable different with Scott not playing.
(As well as Teemu...)
He's ridiculous for how long he's taken to announce his decision though.
ADD: Hmm, I think the Ducks will still make the playoffs. They have a lot of guys who know what it takes now. Who knows, they might pick up a vet at the trade deadline and be on the fast track to win the Cup again.

I think it is quite obvious from their scoring that they are still adjusting. However, I believe in their coach will force the younger players to step up. Having Pronger as their C maybe more beneficial to the team also. He may still take a couple days off just to keep it honest but will play more often than last year. Playoff a good possibility beyond that I don't know. I think there are a few tricks up their sleeve. Some BIG surprises come trading time.
Thanks for the Q

For the rest of the league, Ducks - Scott = good.
For the Ducks, Ducks - Scott = bad.
I fall in the first catagory.
Revised edition for Erica:
For the Western Conferance teams, and the Eastern Conferance Champions...Ducks - Scott = good .
For the Ducks...Ducks - Scott = Bad.

One of the theories is that they will wait until at least mid-season to come back. This way, they will have discounted salaries allowing Anaheim to reacquire them and keep Schneider and Bertuzzi. That would be diabolical. I personally think Selanne is done. I think Niedermayer will come back in a month or so, but would not fault him for retiring.

Well, when he announced he may retire, i deffinantly thought he would, because hes accomplished a lot, although i didnt want to see him go.
But i honestly did not think the decision would go through the season...
i got a question for you... when do you think we will all here the answer to his and/or Teemu's?

Ducks fans, face the truth. Ducks aren't going to be last year's team. Definitely not going to defend their Cup win. If it weren't for Scotty and Chris Pronger and Jiggy saving your butts on defense and Selanne scoring half the goals, the Ducks wouldn't have eve gotten past the first round. Playoffs this year? Yes. Cup? No.

ducks suck they lost three games and won only one so far i know that it is just the beggining of the season but they are doing badly and they scored on their own net against columbus and lost 4-0 that game. and scott nidermayer is gone and so is temu sellanee but actually scott is deciding if he is going to play or going to retire this week. GO HABS GO BOO DUCKS.

i think they should be alright when giguere and schnieder and pahlsonshow back up. i mean they look pretty good without three KEY components of their lineup
definately a playoff team, but i think they would be more of a contender with niedermayer in the lineup
bertuzzi looks like he is doing well, but not gonna make up for selanne and penner, but he looks to be playing well, and i think schneider will be a resonable replacement

he's coming off a great season with a wife and kids that need him, so him wanting to retire is understandable. but if he really cared about what was best for his team he would have made this decision a long time ago.
