I have visited Vegas several times over the past 6 years. I have stayed at Paris, TI (twice), Stratosphere (1 night out of necessity). Now I am planning a 6 day 5 night trip in Feb. ( I know, not the best weather).
I just do not know where to stay!! Looking to spend no more than $120-$130 per night on average.........
things important to me:
decent to impressive room ( nice bed, roomy, nice bathroom)
not a huge huge proprety (like mgm)
walking distance to many other properties
some tables with lower ($5 or $10) limits

any suggestions besides the places I have already visited?

oh and the trip is for my husband and I and another couple, all late 20's age group.

The Luxor was great. I've also stayed at the Paris, and the Paris is nicer - but the Luxor is much more affordable, and still close to a lot of other hotels on the strip.

I suggest the Fremont Street area. The Gold Nugget is the best. They have all the $5 and $10 tables. Talk about being within walking distance! You can walk around a well policed street with entertainment overhead and a drink in your hand.
They are sizable but they are not huge like MGM.
Others say Palms is the best place for some one your age but they areout of the way.

Dam, I would say TI but you've already stayed there. Otherwise, I would suggest las vegas hilton-it's off the north end of the strip on paradise rd, but has the monorail, isnt a huge property, good sized rooms and the pool isnd too crowded.
also-Hilton grand vacations on the strip, it's a newer hotel, very nice, reasonably priced, but this is a non-gaming so no casino :(
I would also suggest Mirage, Luxor, cesears.

But since it's all adults going, i would definatly AVOID EXCALIBUR & CIRCUS CIRCUS! too many friggen kids running around! Also avoid anything in downtown! too sketchy there!

How about the Monte Carlo? My girl friends and I have stayed there and it is reasonable, nice and close to everything. It is a smaller property but on the strip, next to NYNY and I think they are owned by the same company as they ahve a shuttle back and forth. The rooms are nice and the tables are lower than the bigger name hotels.

How about trying the Best Western near the airport? It maybe far from the strip but they have a van giving free rides every hour from the hotel to the strip. The room rate is highly reasonable and it includes a very good buffet breakfast.

Circus Circus I would avoid since it's mainly a family atmosphere and kind of old/dirty. I like the Hard Rock but it's not as close to the other properties. The Hilton is basic and affordable but again not as close to everything. If you can afford it the Bellagio is beautiful and close to everything.
