I'm a male. I'm 19 ys old, and I'm a 1st generation Irish American. Both my parents r from Ireland & r both ethnically Irish. I love only one country though & that country is America. I have no political or national loyalty 2 Ireland only 2 America. I understand that Americans intermarry w/people of different ethnic origins (like German, Polish, & English 4 example) & races (Asian, Black, Hispanic etc.), but since I have pure origins I don't want 2 break that apart (and people don't tell me about how the Irish are made up of Celts, Danes, Anglo-Saxon etc. because i know and thats what makes the Irish irish---those combinations made what we know as the Irish so there is such a thing as being pure Irish). Like I said though i won't break that up. I will only marry and produce someone who is of 100% Irish origin . I'm an American only but I want to carry on this Irish ethnic pureness. R there any pure Irish-Americans out there or other pure ethnic Americans who wish to do the same thing?

To the idiot on post number 4: How could this possible be racial bigotry? I also discriminate members of my own white race. So obviously you are a moron who just senselessly throws around liberal phrases that make so sense.

To post number 14: Wait so i can't be hyphenated, while everyone else can? How about the term African-American. Seems pretty mainstream to me. Or is this just reverse racism where whites are not allowed to hyphenate their ethnic/national label. Basically you are an idiot. I am an Irish-American and I will continue to call myself this. If America and Ireland go to war tommorow I'll get my gun and suit up for the red, white, and blue 100 percent of the time, so don't act like because my label is different than yours that I'm somehow not American. Once again you are an idiot.

Hey, we're proud to be Heinz 57 mutts. You can try to fight it, but the reality is that people are just fine with the world becoming a melting crock pot of steaming feces.

Usually I would come off and denounce ethnic bigotry but in your case, I will take into account your youth for the moment.
I noted that you claim you are an Irish-American, that pretty well delineates up my only possible observation: You are an Irishman that happens to be born Stateside, You really aren't an American if you PREFACE American with another Ethnicity. Try American of Irish descent, it makes the rest of us AMERICAN Mutts less likely to jump on you.
All American Heinz 57 of Seminole, German, Irish, Welsh, English, Acadian (Cajun) descent.

Interesting question tyler...but, I have to agree with commander buc 383, that in our country, America, you should consider yourself 1) lucky to live here, and 2) if you want to live here, than consider yourself an AMERICAN, not a Irish-American...otherwise, I'd be a Hawaiian-American, because I was born and raised in Hawaii...you know what I mean? There are laws to assume what you are saying implies discrimination in our country. But good luck...hope you find happiness and true love in our country, called AMERICA!!

Good luck finding anyone that is 100% Irish. You may find some claiming to be but I'd bet with some DNA testing you'd find almost 0% would actually be. That would actually hold true for most other nationalities.

So you are a hyphenated American!!! Either you are A American of Irish descent or you are an American. You cannot have it both ways.

Now see here , me laddy buck, I'm 1/4 Irish. What you are proposing may be your right, and proper in Ireland, but here it's RACIST !
And if you are an American, then be one. Not Irish-American...AMERICAN. You will find most Americans are proud of their heritage, but only left wing stupid fools go by hyphenated descriptions, or backwards racists insisting on "racial purity"
And may the road be kind to ye.

I saw a science program that said red-heads are becoming extinct. So you can keep the red-heads alive this way...
I cannot relate. My mom is Norwegian, Scottish and Welsh. My dad broke away from the Germans... Too late for me.

Who you marry is your choice. However, you must realize that you are missing out on many attractive and intelligent women who might be asian, english, swedish (oh yah), Russian (smokin) ect ect.
I quite frankly think that women are women, and there are many good ones from many cultures. But, in the end, as I said before, you have to make your own decisions.

It's a personal choice.
Personally I find Irish bitches classless and physically repulsive.
