not exactly, but u can register them for a chip at yoru local shelter and they will be given an ID# also when a pet gets registered in the county they are given an ID# ..why would your pet need a SS#? would you really want your pet applying for a credit card?

Not a social security number but they can get a number for like a micro chip. Why would you want to get a ssn for a pet? Is it like that monkey thing in Austria or something?

Why? You have to be 65+ years of age to collect. And you would have to have a birth certificate for the thing. Of course, a dog could get a hold of your own card and chew it up.

No. If the COULD, you could claim them as dependents on your tax returns, and obviously you can't do that!
