(x+8)/4= 8
x+8 = 32
x= 32-8
x= 24

If your question is
(x)/(4+2) = 8
then
x / 6 = 8 (multiply with 6)
x = 48
If your question is
(x / 4)+2 = 8
then
x/4 = 8 - 2
x/4 = 6
x = 24
