what did you think of trent dilfers permormance?? i thought it wasnt as bad as i thought it would be, considering he took his first regular season snaps since 05 last week, he connected on a few hard passes for some major gains, and compared to what smith has done this year how does dilfer's numbers stack up? against baltimores d especially? if the line can block a little better and gore can get some damn yards, maybe we can start getting some first downs, then maybe some TD's then maybe some W's, the ravens handed the niners that game ,they could have one if nedney got that field goal and that bullshit call earlier in the game didnt happen...what are your thoughts??

I didn't watch the game but I kept track on the Internet.
It is very disappointing.
I'm a niner fan.
I don't know if Alex Smith is the answer. Then again he doesn't have that go to guy receiver.
I do believe the ownership has been making an effort to improve the team.

Michael Robinson would have done better playing QB than Dilfer. I think that Dilfer is smart but his physical skills have aren't what they used to be. Our D is AWESOME! What the hell is up with Jennings being out for an undisclosed personal matter? This lost us the game! The Niners should have been gave M Robinson a chance to take snaps. HOSTLER SUCKS!!!!! I hope San Diego loses 3 in a row and Turner gets fired so Nolan can be smart and fire Hostler and hire Turner back so we can win some games. The way they are playing right now they might lose 10 or 11 games. Has Hostler ever heard of a counter play? What about a draw?? Because running dives and powers up the middle isn't breaking Gore free at all! His best run was on a third an long. So basically when the other D is thinking we'll at least try to get a first down, we fool them and run for one less yard than the first down. Hostler needs to resign! He is a horrible play caller! I could call plays using a John Madden playbook and do better than him!

Its rough I had high hopes and expectations for this season and its rough seeing your star rb lose his mother right after coming back from a broken hand. I believe the niners have the potential of still making the playoffs but we have to start stringing some wins together. Our O line is killing us they are not creating any real holes. I hope dilfer can pull together a magic season like back 7 years ago!

Smith is what will get the 49ers too win the game he can scramble better and he has a better arm. Dilfer is better on the sidelines being a mentor to Smith. Smith should be back soon and we should be ok. Smith did better against Pittsburgh then Hasselbeck did.

Dilfer sucks, always has, always will. The Ravens didn't win the SB because of Dilfer, they won it in spite of him.

dilfers performance was phenomenol for a guy who is one season away from retirement because he is 104 years old in football years
