Most of the answers here got it right. Move On and the other leftist, moonbat sites are a major source of money for democrats. And I enjoy watching the leftists in the Senate, agreeing with the nutsies who fund the party, but unable to come out and admit it because they don't want to enrage the American people who are generally conservative, love and honor the United States, want to win the war in Iraq and believe in the overall goodness of their nation. As a result, democrat politicians irritate the MoveOn whackos by not voting to end the war, even though that is what their leftist base demands. It's fun to watch democrats spinning like tops, trying to keep the nutjobs in the base happy while working to not offend the American people. A sticky wicket!

1. They don't truly support the troops, they just don't want you to hate them for not supporting them.
2. They actually dislike Petraeus, and think he is a traitor to Liberalism, although it is unlikely he was ever Liberal.
3. At this point, most of the money coming into the Democratic party comes from Moveon.org, who have bragged "We OWN the Democratic party". So they fear them, obviously.
4. They like the far Left and like their beliefs, they just don't want YOU to know they like them.

Of the 25 democrats who voted nay on the first vote, there was a 2nd vote that not only included the Moveon ad but also the Swiftboat, and all ads attacking our military and vets. Why wasn't that reported? Because, as you all say, the media is biased.

**sigh** your faux indignation is soooo tedious. you neoCONNED whine about Moveon employing their Freedom of Speech to advertise their observations concerning the politicization of the military via a water carrying career general (who incidentally did deliver some very dicey numbers on the success of the "surge). yet you cheer enthusiastically when your hero chicken hawk Rush Limbaugh is calling Vote Vet veterans "phony soldiers" and equating a purple heart recipient with a suicide bomber.
funny how that is... the neoCONs can say any demeaning thing they want about about our military veterans (see the Swift Boating of McCain, Kerry,Murtha etc) but let a Liberal org take out a newspaper ad and those same neoCONs go berserk with indignation. shameless hypocrites. ya have to laugh a laugh of distain at their antics.

It's called free speech and is granted to all citizens of the US but then I wouldn't expect a Repub to understand things covered in the Constitution.

Because it is not a big deal.
Besides....moveon.org is merely exercising their right to free speech.
If moveon.org was an individual on forum I would merely consider him/her aTROLL.
So consider them a Troll with own website.

I love moveon.org. Why did Betray Us give a different assessment of iraq than the independent GAO? He's a cherry picking bias General who needs to be replaced by an objective independent General.

It's called knowing where your bread is buttered. MoveOn.Org has the left by the "cojones". Firmly. Very firmly.
Cajoles: To persuade with flattery or gentle urging especially in the face of reluctance.
But I like your advice to use "Cojones" much better. It's not as "intelligent" in my humble opinion - kinda raw - but it does convey the message much better I must admit.
Special thanks to my editor Joey.

Because they don't want to bite the hand that feeds them, and we the people of the United States are nothing to them in comparison to the money funneled into them by people who wish to destroy our country.
If those who cared about our country could only donate 25 billion to these politicians, then they would march the moral high ground with us rank and file.
