Moving from the US to Australia is it worth it? What is involved? and any estimates in cost? maybe you can recommend a website? I am considering moving there but I dont understand the whole visa concept and financially is it worth it?

eta~ I have a friend there to stay with I do not need to necessarily bring anything other than myself and some belongings. Do you really have to take a test? is this for permenant immagration only?

No one can give you an 'estimate' on moving as there is a bit more involved. Do you want to ship your furniture and personal contents over in a contained? Remember we are on a different electrical system here so TV etc will not be worth bringing over - they are cheap enough to buy anyhow

What part of Australia are you looking at - and do you have a skill that Aussies are requiring? It's not as simple as moving here and getting a job.
