I've been having heart palpations every few hours, chest pains especially when i take a deep breath, dizziness every so often, and headaches. I'm kinda scared, because i've been having this for a couple of days, and today i got kinda sick too, with headache and sore throat and such. I'm not entirely sure what's causing this. It's getting me nervous. Anyone have any advice on what i should do? I also suffer anorexia with purging so I don't know if that would contribute to it at all...

If you're anorexic, symptoms of headaches, heart palpitations ; chest pains and dizziness are all indicative that you are hypoglycemic or has too low blood sugar. You need adequate food intake or nutrients to furnish nutirents to your body cells and organs and maintain energy metabolism.

Migraine type of headaches is known to be associated with hunger headaches. This lack of oxygen plus the necessary nutrients is responsible for the shortness of breath, The chest pains is due to the heart palpitaions which created a cardiac overload demanding more oxygen to compensate for the fast heartbeat.

In layman's terms, the faster the heartbeat, the more the heart has to work. Hence the chest pains with deep breaths.

Eventually, your heart will fail ;if you persist on this kind of lifestyle. of ......starving your body. and eventually organ failure.

Hey there!

Check out your other question. Just go to the ER-tell them about the symptoms-make them listen-and talk about faithing-because too you might be having minor heart attacks-not to scare you-I think it might just be an electrolyte imbalance-but make them do an EKG too.

its quite possible that it is caused by the lack of nutrients and purging, but you should seek medical attention immediately if you are heart problems.

on top of that, you should seek medical attention regardless about the anorexia. it can take its toll quickly.
