I am thinking about applying to Villanova and I was worried that since the majority of students are white and Catholic that they might not be very accepting.

It is a very white school -- so white that some call it Vanillanova.

About 4% of the students are African-American, 7% are Asian, and about 6% are Hispanic. I don't think tha tthe white students there will be any less or any more accepting of you than at any other school. This means that some will accept you and some won't. This could be good or bad for minority students & it depends more on them than on the white students. If you can get along with people at Villanova, then you will get along with people of all types in the business world.

While many universities that call themselves Christian are ruled more by religion than by academics -- this is not something that is generally true of Catholic universities. Villanova is a great place for academics. Religion is there -- but not forced down your throat.

Visit the school. Talk to people there.

I would encourage you to apply. You can always decide later. Are there any minority cultural/religious student organizations at the university? Maybe you could get some names of some students who wanted to talk and share their experiences with you to hlep you make your decision.

Today all universities have to be accepting of minorities due to laws and stuff.

"I was worried that since the majority of students are white and Catholic that they might not be very accepting. "

Isn't this a rather prejudiced and intolerant statement ?
