My own opinion is Vince seen all the crying on the Internet and decided to give it back to Orton to cut down on the suicide rate.

They played ring around the rosy with the wwe championship....great job vince...the belt is worth a little more then the hardcore title now....at least they could have had a gauntlet match or something...
