Your teacher will likely want you to say that the Indians saved their lives. That is politically correct teaching.
It was very kind of the Indians to bring food, but the pilgrims were not helpless. They would have survived and America would still be as it is today.
(Indians are referred to as 'Native Americans', but they came here too. Not native. Just arrived before Columbus did. And Columbus was not the first to 'find' America)

Simple, Pilgrims wouldn't have made it past the first winter. They would have starved or had to go to the Indians and asked for help...

With the political situations in Europe - there would have been a delay of the settlement of the "New World" but only a delay of the inevitable.

They would STILL be where they are today, unfortunately. They could NEVER stop the masses from coming here. Not with bows and arrows.

The pilgrams would have starved. The indians would have prospered and wiped them out.

I think it was meant to be. They had wild game to live on and they knew how to build warm houses. They also knew how to farm. They were far from being dumb and knew they would have to survive.

My people would have made this country alot more peaceful, and trustworthy and loving..........We are a proud decent people that learned to love and respect our land. And we protected and cared for each other.............Stick that in your peace pipe and smoke it.
