You know, at one time, David Letterman was actually funny. Ugly as Alfred E. Newman, but kind of funny.
And Kathy Griffin should be advised that Jesus had nothing to do with her talent either or she'd actually have some.
God help us, she sucks.
What does this have to do with your question, I'm not really sure, but I felt like throwing it out there.

Lol the reason they are going after Talk radio is because it is the one area of the media that they don't control, and quite frankly they don't like that fact.
Just look at all the Dems talking about Rush Limbaugh talking about "Phony Soldiers" when he WAS talking about a Phony soldier (and hero of the Left) Jesse MacBeth.
If you don't remember Jesse Macbeth, he was the guy who washed out of the military (he couldn't cut basic training) but who claimed he was a member of Special Forces and had seen Marines hanging Iraqi babies from the rafters of Mosques to the cheers of Moveon.org.
However, when the members of Code Pink vandalized a Marine recruitment center in San Francisco recently, you heard nary a peep from these same Dems. Why is that?
Because they want you all to think they are Patriotic and support the troops, rather than pander to the Far Left.
They are pathetic representations of politicians and should be bounced out of office in my opinion.

What news that you disagree with is a good thing. Saturating yourself with one bias network doesn't help anything. A rounded view on different arguments is the best thing to do. I personally watch Fox, MSNBC, and CNN. I also watch shows like Glenn Beck as well as Keith Olberman. I try soaking up both liberal and conservative media. That way, when I disagree with both on an issue, I'll know exactly how they'll respond.

Yeah. I rarely listen to talk radio or watch Fox News, not on my cable list at the moment. But when I do get to listen to Sean Hannity I'm amazed at how much hate mail and messages he gets. Why do people who hate him so much listen? Is it simply to get upset or do they have an allergic reaction to the truth and the only cure is to spew venomous hatred over the internet or telephone.
As for Fox, when I watch it I love it when Bill reads viewer mail. He also has a few hate mails included. Once again, why do people that hate him pay so much attention to him? I don't like liberal talk show hosts, so I don't listen, yet it seems libs are obsessed with talk radio.

the liberals have just as much opportunity to air their programing. the truth is every time they try, it fails. Air America is just one example. Even with the millions Soros poured into it, the audience just isn't there. Thus no audience no advertisers thus no revenue. This is why ( and libs will deny this all day long ) there is a movement by the democrats to reinstate the so call 'fairness doctrine'.

Liberals tend to inject more of their emotions into an argument, and get pretty hysterical when they actually meet someone who is conservative, or actually has the morals that they frequently deny possessing themself. Liberals love teen abortion without parental notification, until it is THEIR teen getting that abortion. Liberalism is a "do as I say, not as I do" mentality, hence Albert Gore flying around nearly alone in private jets to tell us to be more environmentally repsponsible, and living in his inefficent 10,000 sf mansion while telling us that our houses burn too much electricity.

I don't think liberals are obsessed WITH right wing talk/tv, as much as they are obsessed with REMOVING/CENSORING right wing talk/tv.
Liberalism isn't so much a political belief as it is a substitute religion and parental stand-in. They need someone/something to take care of them from birth to death. Hearing a conservative broadcaster (or Answers poster, or whatever) make light of their personal belief is sacreligious. "How dare you talk about my mommy like that?"

The sad reality is that most of these media types who are CLAIMING they are "conservatives" are anythig BUT conservative.
I spent years in the broadcasting business and was a card-carrying Republican conservative by the original definition. I dropped away from the party when I saw up close and personal that Bush1 and his crowd were NOT conservtives but thinly disguised fascists.
Like Ted Turner, I would welcome the return of "The Fairness Doctrine"... although it would create a real hardship for people who love to slant the news in their media outlets... people like Rupert Murdoch and Sun Yung Moon.
http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/features/2004/0407.turner.html
Where were these "conservatives" when Hannity, Rush, Robertson and Coulter were smearing people like Generals Shinseki, General Abizaid, General Schwartzkopf, General Swannick, General Eaton, General Batiste, Col Paul Hughes, Lt. Col Karen Kwaitkowski, triple-amputee Max Cleland, John Kerry, Former Ambassador to Iraq Joseph Wilson, former intelligence agents and analysts Greg Thielman, Ray McGovern, David Kay, Richard Clarke... and even REPUBLICAN John McCain?
Fascists carefully selected the name "liberal" and turned it into a dirty word to use against anyone who didn't want to let them run things the way they want.

Liberals do not support the free and open arena of different ideas. Instead of debating them on the issues at hand, they would rather silence them which is just shameful.

Webster defines CONSERVATISM as "a political philosophy based on tradition and social stability, stressing established institutions and preferring gradual development to abrupt change".
Webster defines LIBERALISM as "a political philosophy based on belief in progress, the essential goodness of man. and the autonomy of the individual and standing for the protection of political and civil liberties".
I find it redundant that so many so-called "cons" or "libs" attach artificial labels to themselves without even knowing the true definitions of those labels. They claim they're a conservative just because Rush Limbaugh tells them what to think; or, the claim they're a liberal just because they listen to what Al Franken says.
The sad truth is most of the so-called 'libs' and 'cons' that spit out their hate-filled verbal venom, bias, political prejudices, and bigotry on this forum are almost completely ignorant of what it really means to be either a "con" or a "lib".
I don't know a "lib" that doesn't want social stability in this country, nor do I know a "con" who doesn't believe in the essential goodness of man. It's too damn bad we waste our time following the preachings of our preferred propagandist instead of taking the time to think for ourselves and follow our own ideologies. Instead of listening to the shouting garbage mouths who make millions brainwashing their followers into political submission, perhaps we should all focus more on trying to unite this great country that the "talking heads" have so divided.
Once the "libs" or the "cons" have finally persuaded their listeners that it's 'acceptable' to insult, injure or even kill anyone who doesn't subscribe to their political dogma, we have sunk to the same depths that many millions of Nazi-era Germans did when Hitler's propagandists persuaded people it was 'acceptable' to gas six million Jews.
Your praise and adoration of the Hitleresque hyperbole spewed forth daily by Rush Limbaugh or Al Franken is nothing more than ignorance and self- flagrancy just because you're too damn slothful and shallow to search out the truth for yourself and establish your own political philosophy or doctrine. It's easier just to follow the rants and raves of lunatics like Limbaugh who mold minds and create more obsessive-compulsive neuroticism instead of trying to unify this country and returning it to the great nation it was before the corrupt politicians and the media darlings invaded our weak and vulnerable mentalities.
Grow up, America! Learn to think for yourself instead of believing what some millionaire microphonic moron makes you believe while he laughs all the way to the bank. -RKO- 10/07/07
