Can't afford satellite anymore.

When we lived out in the woods we didn't have a T.V. the kids were raised without it, they were never in the house, always outside with the horses, they were always gone down the road with friends on horseback, the boats were always on the lake, fishing, we always ate fish once a day at least, were out in the woods with a gun hunting or trapping, now, the horses never leave the corral, the kids are glued to 160 channels of crap, they've had T.V. satellite for a year now and haven't even seen all the channels, what a waste.

I can afford the basic cable, but the problem is we only have to companies in my area that offer it and neither one of them service my very rural area. We only get one local channel and no other channels without the cable or satellite and even with rabbit ears that one channel is very crappy. I lived in Los Angeles before and never, ever had cable as we always had the basic channels like 2, 4,7, 11, 13 etc. So this is a whole new experience here.

You mean like channels 2 4 10 13 and 22? No. They suck.
Other than that, there is no free tv.

Yeah, I do. I live in the Nev. Mtns and I have basic cable. Without it there is no tv. I don't need the "enhanced" channels, because I buy my movies. I like hgtv, the news, and hsn, and qvc. I like Glenn Beck and Anderson Cooper too.
I can afford any tv offer out there but it isn't worth it, since I don't watch that much tv.

I only have 4 channels maybe 5 if the wind blows right, but I don't pay for any of them.

I haven't been able to afford cable for a few years now,so I watch a lot of DVD's and this time of year there are lots of new shows on CBS,NBC,ABC etc.
