DO NOT GRAB THE RABBIT BY THE EARS!!! This hurts!!!
The best thing to do is wear some gloves and calmly put one hand on the back of the rabbit (close to it's butt), and one on the back of it's head. Make sure the rabbit is stable and then Move your hand to secure it's legs. Don't jerk or pull on it's legs. Pick it up and hold it close to you, this will help the bunny to feel safe and possibly not want to kick or anything. Be careful not to stress the rabbit out too much! You may just want to put a cage outside with some food and water and toys, and it may just go right on in!

It is never appropriate to pick a bunny up by the scruff of the neck. This always damages the underlying tissue. You use your left hand to pick up under the abdomen and your right hand to support the rear end, and lift the bunny up that way.
Yes rabbits do on occasion bite. Its more likely that they would bite when they feel you are encroaching on their territory, such as putting you hand in their cage.

grasp the bunny firmly by the skin and fur behind the ears at the neck. It will probably struggle, but don't be afraid, pick it up and put your other arm under the body supporting the feet and body, bringing it close to your body to immobilize it and take it to the cage. if you do this right it can't bite you. some rabbits will bite and others are too timid, don't worry, just pick it up and show the rabbit who is boss.

NEVER EVER GRAB IT BY THE EARS! YOu need to catch it by placing your hands around its belly. But dont squeeze, just allow enough pressure so it cant jump away from you. All rabbits are different, so it may or may not bite. When you go to pick it up while it is running away just let your hands go the way the bunny is going, and most likely you can catch it in the air.

By the scruff if the neck. The rabbit is not harmed by this and the "grabber" is less likely to be injured by the rabbit kicking.

Grab it on the loose skin on the back of the neck or scruff, grabbing it on the ear is not recommended ,coz you might damage delicate ear parts.

First, you "NEVER EVER" grab a bunny!
You pick it up; being very supportive to it's spine or an injury can happen.
