A while back I think I saw this on an episode of Ripley's Believe it or not about sisters that would drop to their knees praying to the sky in a trance. And the strange thing was that they were immovable, there was video of grown men trying to move them but failed. Who were these sisters, where can I find more information about this?

I think I know what your talking about, the Fatima Girls. They were in a trance seeing a Marion Apparition (vision of mary) and could not be burned or moved while doing so.

Sorry I do not know about these sister, however, I do know that people, no matter how strong can be convinced that an object is immovable. Without going into to much psychology it his principle was demonstrated on an Episode of "Mind Control" with Derren Brown. I believe the episode is called Receptive Children (I think).
Anyway my guess is that these grown men were unable to move these sisters is because they were already convinced that they couldn't. They were expecting them to be immovable.

The human body can become very rigid and apparently impossible to move, but that would still have no impact on one's ability to lift them off the ground. If someone is saying they can't do that then they're either lying or are being subconsciously deceived.

Probably for one of two reasons.1 it never happened.2 It was a hoax.In real life things like that can't happen. That's the truth.

I bet if I got a prime mover with a 'b' double trailer and belted it at them at a 100mph they would move pretty quickly
