Quiet? I have armadillos constantly burrowing around the house. the crickets can be deafening sometimes, cattle bawling at night and coyotes too. I like to leave the windows open so I can hear all that. Yes, I live in the boondocks but it beats horns honking and the sound of traffic or police and ambulance sirens. We all have our preferences but I bet after you live there for a year or two you'll hate living in town again...it kind of grows on you.

Ah, my driveway is 1/4 mi. long... It's a rough, two track. The waitresses at the local greasy spoon have no teeth. Does this qualify as "boon docks?"

I've never lived outside of the boon docks. Crowds suck.

I lived in a log cabin with no plumbing growing up! I use to use the out house but, was afraid at night so we used a bucket!
