u can tell if they do not keep direct eye contact with the person or if they r very fidgity

First of all, I presume that the person I am talking too is telling the truth. If I sense something is wrong, then I become careful.
There is no scientific way that can be learned by ordinary folks (that includes you and me) to tell if a person is teling a lie. Con artists can lie with a straight face, and can lie while looking at you straight in the eye.
Trust your instincts. If it comes to worse, challenge that you (both) undergo a lie detector test. But then again, that is not fool proof.

It depends on the situation and types of person who tell you lies. And the answer he/she gives every time you asked that question over and over again. For one thing, look on his/her eyes when he/she is talking. If they look at you straight to the eye while talking, then they are telling you the truth and if not, then they are lying.

one thing i learned from watching prison break, if a person lies, he looks to the left but if he's telling the truth he looks at the right. one does this unconciously. so if he's a good liar, he probably knows about the eye movement or other body language. you can never tell unless you know the person that much.

Keep tab of the statements that person is telling you. At every third interval, you can bet it's a lie. Math is a precise science: you can't go wrong with it.
Don't look for signs...count!

Sometimes it's hard to say. You almost have to know the person or know someone who does. Some people are terrible liars and you can tell by looking at them!!

If the person is in horizontal, rather than vertical position - he is lying. If he tells you he is standing, he is telling a lie.
