since you do not know that they are called talent agencies rather than acting agencies, I doubt that you are ready for one/. You see, they are very busy trying to get jobs for the talent they all ready have, and they aren't interested in having any more talent unless that talent is very very good and very very interesting looking and has lots of experience and training. when you qualify, write back and I will tell you the name of the best agent in NYC>

There are many talent agencies in New York City. The way to be seen by a talent agent in NYC is to perform in "Showcases," where actors perform in showcase productions, in hopes of being seen and represented by a talent agency.
Showcase productions are often listed in Backstage newspaper, or, Backstage.com, when auditions are being held for showcase productions.
