Write a letter of resignation. You don't have to give details just a date when you will finish up. you want to be polite about it because you should ask for a letter of reference from them........

The proper way to leave a job is to put in your 2 weeks notice. Tell your boss that the hours and pay are not enough so you will have to move on. He/She may let you go right away, or may have you work the final two weeks of your notice. This is ALWAYS the best way to leave a job. Never burn your bridges, even crappy bridges.
Good Luck

always leave in a professional manner not in an angry manner. Simply type your 2weeks resignation letter and you do not owe an explanation as to why unless you decide to give them one.
Keep the letter short and sweet. Simply state that as of todays date let this letter serve as notice resign. Thats all.

Type up a simple letter telling him/her that you intend to leave the company. In your letter, tell your boss when your last day will be. Make it a very short letter.

Give your 2 week notice. Don't get into details. Just say you are leaving.

well if you are on good terms with your current employeer, you should talk to them about your problem.
Tell them you need more hours, but need to change jobs if you can't get them.
You may be able to get a good reference if you are honest and up front vs just leaving.
