Gasoline can cause swelling of the external ear canal which would certainly cause a fair amount of pain and trouble hearing. Go ahead and see your regular doctor - drops can be prescribed to help the swelling come down faster. Also, your doctor will want to have a look at your eardrum to make sure there hasn't been any injury there.

I had a student who swallowed a shot of gasoline. Within 10 minutes his gums became raw, his esophagus burned a hole through it and his stomach was torn to shreds. It shocked us all. Gasoline is a corrosive. It may have begun eating away at your eardrum.
I would definitely go to an ear, nose and throat doctor. This will be able to tell if your ear reacted to the fluid and inflamed causing fluid against the drum or if it actually has eaten away at the drum.
Please check it out, losing your hearing is awful.

It sounds a bit like you have surfers ear dude... :)

Probably some of the water you washed it out with is trapped in there. Had it loads of times and yeah it gets better really irritating though.

Why not just go to the quack let them have a look it is possible you damaged your ear drum etc. Better be safe than sorry.

you can buy what's known as sweet oil at an Rx. You might try that for a day or two. Otherwise, I'd go to the doctor and not play around with the possibility of loosing your hearing.
