We have to assume a rectangle, with no other info.
Let "L" represent the length:
Width represented by "W" is L+12.
Perimeter is 2(L + W) = 156
Substitute for W in equation #2:
2(L + L+12) = 156
Simplify:
4L = 156 - 24 = 132
L = 33
W = 45

Are you sure your width is greater than your length?
Doesn't make sense to me.
