ever since i was a kid i could always hear the sweet sound of a train...!!!

Yes, there is a train track about 1 mile from us. I can hear the whistle at night.

Yes and no. We do not have a track anywhere near here . But we do have a semi driver who has one of those specialty horns installed that sounds like a train, he blows it when he comes through town.

Sadly no, hardly any trains run up here anymore. The closest I think is like 40 miles from here.

but, I know what you mean....
especially if you live in the hills, and hear it echo down for a long time....
and especially nice on a moonlit night, when all seems peaceful and still.
