Ticklebuster there is no clique in here but there is a group who ACTIVELY participate in some of the ongoing story lines. But they are just the tip of the iceberg. There are many others who log in and read the continuing saga and get a huge kick out of it, however they choose not to actively participate. More like an audience I suppose.

There are the "actors on stage" and there is a whole "audience" watching on.
The BEAUTY is that the "actors" and "audience" are interchangable. Anyone can become and "actor" or slip back into the "audience" and vice versa.
I have seen your presence and welcome it. Come along and join in. The dragons need a "cockatrice", like to take up the role. LOL which means laugh out loud. good advice eh!!!

I wouldn't call it a clique per se. It is just that when Seniors became a new category, there were very few people logging in. We got to know one another because of that so we are familiar with each other. Seniors come and seniors go, but all are welcomed and accepted. We try not to be rude or crass to one another which is more than I can say about what is happening in the other Yahoo categories. There are some who have made friends and e-mail each other.

Shortstuff - You've been here a long time and helped make seniors what it is today

I don't know if I'd call it a clicque but there are a couple of ongoing themes that seem to have a lot of history...sort of like a soap opera....it's hard tuning in and not knowing all the characters, the lingo, the inside jokes, etc. I find it's just easier to skip over all of this and just participate in the stuff that interests me.

There are clicques on all message boards. What can you do? Just stick with the people you like and get on with. There are some resemblances between message boards and high school, but you don't have to buy into it.

I don't think so, it's just that on this site you can actually feel like you are getting to know the people. We have common interests, memories, a laugh, and a kind word when one of us needs it. When I came here, I just jumped in and starting sharing my thoughts, along with everyone else. I hope you will do the same and enjoy all the wonderful things this site has to offer. Rarely do I spend time here and not learn something. Sometimes, I even learn a little more about my self.

I wondered about this my self, and then thought maybe it's just a group that have been on here along while and got closer through time as it seems more then just Q's &A's---
I don't visit this site daily, and didn't know what confusion was
going on last week, between some people other then Q&A, it sounded personal and neg. Senior citizens (so called) are more then baby boomers, as mentioned by some one here.
I am 75, and like moving around to various sites, Enjoy several other topics. and this one too. Blessings

There is no clique here . All are welcome to join in on certain themes or not. I am not as extroverted as some on here but I enjoy hanging around anyway. I don't answer all the questions either ,only ones that I feel I have an opinion on and would like to share with others. I am fairly new here too but it's like coming home with all the friendly banter. I don't have my E-mail listed even though I would like to have contact with everyone from around the world but the need to protect myself from the loonies out there is stronger at the moment. This is the best site on yahoo. I do go to hobbies and gardening because I like to share my experiences with others.

I dont think it has anythng to do with clicques. I think people are becoming more familiar with each other and enjoy seeing the others.

I don't think so! I find this to be a great place to visit after being bitten, scratched, and abused in some of the political sites. Somedays it almost feels like I'm in the Highlands! ha ! I'm 55, by the way. Do I qualify as a senior?

I would say no "clique", some topics interest some people, so they answer, some tend to respond more to other topics, then once in awhile we all kind of shift around and wander in on a discussion thats been going on for awhile.

Its just a whole lot of different topics, questions, answers going on - people take a holiday, come back, or have an accident like I have done, on top of my daughters wedding yesterday, Thanksgiving tomorrow, and I cant turn my head to see what time it is - course dancing like a 20 yr old idiot last night DIDNT help the situation but it sure was fun. So I am coasting, not answering much at all.

Check it out, find your interests, answer what you like, there is no "clique" running the show, there was one who tried and failed. Or so I have heard -- just a lot of nice people hanging out and making friends.
