Which is worse for society, prostitution or pornography, and why?

If prostitution and pornography are both bad which do you think is worse for society and what are your reasons for thinking as you do?

In my opinion, I choose Pornography because most porn uses children more than adults. If a man can go to a prostitute then the world saves one child from child molester. It is sad that our society does not recognize prostitute and try to legalize it. I am sure men will stop looking at the kid porn and use legal prostitutes in which they are protected by law and have checked with doctors.Now you see why I choose Prostitute.

Prostitution is worse than pornography,but both are prohibited in the holy Qur'an.Porno grapy is similar with approaching prostitution or zinah.Zinah and approaching zinah are not allowed by Allah the only one God..Both are bad doings and someone who did it will have great sin..Pros

Prostitution is worse, people get hurt. (especially young women because rape is a big issue when it comes to prostitution) unless of course the pornography was child pornography and made without the person's consent.(you know, they were forced to do it) So, it's hard to say which is worse.

If a choice was needed, I would argue prostitution causes greater harm to society because it is more often controlled by criminal influences and often attracts more serious crimes to that area, such as assaults, muggings, rape and drugs, etc. In most places pornography is also legal which means it can be regulated.

I vote for pornography as being worse. Prostitution is professsion wherein there is no real harm done to either the prostitute or her clients. Pornography is a business that exploits and degrades all who participate in it.

I think pornography is worse simply because it's more accessible to everyone. Young people can be influenced by it in various ways. Prostitution is still bad, but at least younger people aren't around them.

I would have to say its the same thing really. Whats the reason for people to have sex in pornos? To earn fame, get noticed or for money, which is another form of prostitution.
