I live alone in an apartment and I'm beginning to notice I get a bit lonely. I don't live around near as many friends as I'd like to begin making this place more homey. I love all three of these, I don't know which to keep company with. One could say all three, but I can probably afford one for now.
Which do you recommend?

A dog for sure. There is nothing like coming home and have a dog there waiting for you. Dogs always love you and they are truly a good friend. I have 4 and I couldn't stand to be without them.

Dogs! They give u unending love, glad to see ya when u get home, make u laugh. If you are thinking of getting a dog, try an animal shelter. They have a lot of dogs that need good homes. Some are pure breds. Good luck! :)

Books are the best of friends... They posses information you've never dreamed of, they can make you laugh or make you cry, and they don't drool all over the living room carpet.

If you don't have alot of money get a plant...dogs cost money, shots, food , vet visits and they take alot of love, time and money. Try a goldfish. Or a beta fish.

dogs are really nice. but they are hard to take care of if your living in an apartement. get a small dog...not a chiwawa

I would say a dog out of those but birds are good companions too.
