Why not; it works. That’s the reason Bush and Rove were laughing and making jokes about the stupidity and gullibility of conservative Christians after the 2004 Presidential election.

i'll purpose to grant a nonpartisan answer here. i think of that any time there is diverse exuberance for one candidate, despite if that's Reagan or Obama, human beings on the different side who do no longer help that individual experience that there is diverse irrationality and unfounded help. think of of it this style, as a Democrat: do you no longer each from time to time balk or a minimum of expertise nervous or questioned via the close to-deification of Ronald Reagan? you experience that whilst he could have been an effectual president, his popularity is a minimum of partly via delusion-making and glorification. that's in all threat how some conservatives experience approximately Obama's help. that's human nature, no longer something unusual quite.

There are people in this world that think indiscriminately slaughtering thousands of innocent people will somehow further their agenda. Kind of makes lies and insults a rather harmless way to try and further an ideology that can't stand on its own merits.
"Insults and lying" is nothing but a way to support an agenda that simply can't stand up to valid and verifiable facts. And, yes, I'm afraid that if one is uninformed and predisposed to believe anything that supports their own agenda - lies will do just fine.
Sad, isn't it?

Luckily, Bush only has a bit over a year left and they don't seem to be able to come up with another storyteller like him. I think by now we have all figured out that these republicans are all lying and they should all be gone soon. In the mean time, if a republican makes a speech that he hates gays, that means he is gay, if he complaines about adultery, he is cheating on his wife, if he is upset about lobbyist, he is getting a new house built by them. All you have to do is realize, when these guys say something, it is because they are doing it and are feeling guilty

1. Everyone here has an agenda (fighting boredom is also an agenda).
2. Just because you disagree with me does not mean I am lying.
3. Insults indicate either a lack of intellect, a lack of knowledge of the subject matter or thin skin on behalf of the offended.
4. If you are here to preach, there is a section called Religion and Spirituality.

But they really do believe their lies. Just because they're ill-informed doesn't mean they aren't honestly defending their positions.

Harry, silly statements like that are reasons behind this tirade to begin with.
I agree, rhetoric and spin will only get you so far and then backfire. Sometimes I feel like we are living in a post-modern McCarthy era.

Only followers of moveon.org, Rush Limbaugh and other radicals think so. They are doing more harm than good to the country and their own party. They are to radical to realize it.
