I need something it could be anything that has to do with the food pyramid, the nutrients, the groups of food, or anything that has a food item on it. My teacher said that it could be anything just be creative, well that didn't help me much. One of her other students made an example for her last year and it just said FOOD, it was really large and it had different food items on the words. I might do something like that because I don't want to spend all of my life on an extra credit project. Any suggestions or tips will help. Thank you very much. Any advice will help on not messing up on my first three tries.

How about looking up particular nutrients of certain foods - like carbohydrates, sugars, proteins, etc. and then make a string poster where you would put
carbohydrates ------------------(string or yarn) to --- apple, popcorn, broccoli
sugars ----------------------------------------- foods like orange juice, chocolate fudge, etc.
proteins ----------------------------------tuna, chicken, milk etc.
Here's a webpage with lists of food nutrients that you could use. Then all you'd need are pictures of the food.

You could just look up clipart for the food pics.
Hope this made sense.
Have fun!

Do an internet search: Google, Yahoo, Wikipedia, etc.
Print out some examples, as possible ideas to use.
Get some poster board or foamcore from Michael's.
Paste cut-out magazine pictures on your background.
You could just make a pyramid out of the food groups.

You could draw a food pyramid and label it & then cut food pictures out of magazines that go in each section. Just a thought :)

Good luck!

Or what if you put real foods on your poster somehow? For example, in the grains section, put some rice grains in a ziplock and paste it on the poster... and put some beef jerky in a ziplock and put it in the meats section, etc...
