Moderate does not involve banning funding for science on the basis of religon, ignoring reality to support an irresponsible tax cut or spending billions on corporate welfare.
Bush is a conservative.

Bush isn't a liberal, a moderate or a conservative. He's an idiot.
Liberals care about the poor and the environment, so we know he doesn't fall in that camp.
Moderates seek compromise and concensus, so we can rule that category out.
Conservatives place a priority on fiscal responsibility, and since he's run the U.S. debt and deficit to record levels, no dice there either.
But Idiots listen to the wrong people for advice, fire dissenters, spend beyond their means, disregard the constitution, infringe on civil liberties, alienate their allies, make really stupid remarks like "Bring it on!" and screw up the environment...I think we have a winner!

Well, this morning it was reported that he wants to force Texas to show leniency to an illegal Mexican immigrant convicted of helping to gang rape and murder two teenaged girls, so that he can comply with the ruling of an international court.
Is that the moderate part?

Thank you!!!!!!! I'm a libertarian, so I often agree with conservatives, and Bush talks like he's one, but he doesn't go with it. Conservatives like SMALL government. Patriot Act anyone? Honestly, the only reason he got elected twice was because BOTH times nobody better was running. Where were all the people who are running now THEN?

Many have no idea about this.
In realty a true Conservative would be a liberal for thinking we can and should do for our self.
A liberal as today would be a Communist.
And they can be both in both party's which they are.

Wait a minute folks President Bush just vetoed a bill that would have provided medicine and doctors to sick and injured babies and you want to call him moderate?
Come on! That's pure Republican!
Thanks
