WAY overrated. This means only 4 teams should be expected to beat them...c'mon. The ENTIRE Big East is a joke, not just Louisville. USF is 3-9 in the SEC, 4-8 in the Big 12, 5-7 in Big 10 and Pac 10. They could not play Auburn, SoCar, Bama, Tenn, LSU, Vandy over eight weeks (even with Elon, and FAU thrown in) and survive. It's the weekly pounding that the big boys endure that separates them.

Probably, I have a tough time believing that they're that good, especially considering how they failed to impress against a weak opponent yesterday. Louisville was definitely way overrated, they have no defense to speak of. Their offense is good, probably as good as advertised, but they can't stop anyone from scoring, and their offense isn't designed for ball control, so they don't really give their defense a breather. They need to recruit some defensive guys in the off-season for sure. They look like an old-school WAC team.

I think this has been an odd year in college football but i definitely think the USF shouldnt be that high. Top 10 is a possibility but top 5 is a little much.

No, USF isn't underrated. Louisville has no defense, but the best QB and possibly player in the league.

Maybe for number 5.
When they beat west va, west va was looking really good so they deserved it, but they are only that low because 7 of the top 13 teams last week lost.

If you look at their offensive numbers, they're averaging about 363.6 yds/game(that's about 75th best in the country) while only scoring 29 pts./game(44th best in the country). I'd think that if they were a top 5 team, they'd be performing better on offense.

they are a bit overrated. they did beat auburn and west virginia (they won the big games) but they also struggled against lesser teams. their record gives them that no.5 in the polls but their skill and talent level is not no. 5. not even close.

I consider them the Boise State of last year. Good, but would have a tough time playing LSU, Ohio State, Cal if they had too.
