I agree with the majority, you should tell your parents. However, if they aren't supportive, call 1-800-395-HELP and they'll direct you to a pregnancy resource center, which will give you the assistance you need- prenatal care, baby supplies, navigating social services, etc. If keeping the baby is too much for you, you can get adoption services through them as well- but be sure to find the right family for your baby, no matter how many interviews it takes!
I wish you and your baby the best of luck. You can email me any time!

PS- Wow is incorrect, your parents cannot force you to give the baby up for adoption. However, you will need permission from the biological father, since it's his baby too.

yes, tell yor parents. they are gonna be your biggest asset and supporters. They may be angry at first but will soon realize that there is no point in getting angry, its already happened, anger is not gonna make it go away. You are not the first teen to get pregnant and you won't be the last.
and if I am honest, my daughter is only 4 and I have planned how I would react if she were to get pregnant as a teen, I wouldn't be surprised if your mom has done the same.
** some of you guys are jerks, she is young and afraid. No need to make her feel like a pile of poop! NOR did she even mention abortion so get off her back with all the begging.

Of course you should tell your parents. If your under 16 they can legally put your baby up for adoption...If your over 18 then you aren't obligated to tell them but if they pay for things in your life or support you then they have a right to know, as they will probably be the only help you get to support your baby. Talk with them, or talk with someone else you trust an they can help you tell your parents.

You should tell your parents... Don't wait til the baby comes or do something stupid to hide it... And please Don't abort it I know there are a lot of options to consider but keeping it is always good if you have the support of your family and of course there is always adoption there is tons of families who would be willing to adopt your baby women who can't have children of their own. I know it's all hard to think about now but you should tell your parents they can help you make the right decisions. I don't know if you are Christian or not but pray about it.

I say you should tell your parents. More than likely they'll find out anyway. You need to think about what you plan on doing and your parents can be great people to discuss these sort of things with.

Definatly tell your parents. It will make things a lot easier once you get that over with. It is the scariest thing but trust me I'm 19 and I told them right away. Everything will be okay!

Either way your parents will find out eventually.
The sooner you tell them the better.
Do what is best for you. Only you can deside that for yourself.
But yes, you must tell your parents no matter how much they may freak out. Trust me, I understand.

Tell your parents, find support, decide if you're going to belly up to the country and live for your baby, or if you cannot getting it set up for an adoption.

well, that sucks......but you HAVE to tell your parents....i know you don't want to and your terrified. I can remember being young and the thought of being pregnant at that age is awful...but you have to tell them...being pregnant is hard on your body, and you need medical care, and desperate teens do desperate things..and end up in jail...
